Multi-Spatial Scale Wildfire Dynamics from Meteorological and Engineering Perspectives:

I am currently interested in using hydrometeorological techniques to examine the effects of land use patterns, drought, and active management techniques, such as prescribed burns, that alter fire behavior. In addition, I employ a set of reanalysis data, observation data from remote sensing and drone imagery, as well as CMIP6 model simulations to assess land-atmospheric feedbacks to wildfires under different climate scenarios. I use the ERA-5 datasets to determine how trends in fire dynamics (such as initial spread index) that influence fire behavior vary across various eco-regions and Köppen climate zones.
